A Promise

With thanks to Cathy Wilke, for passing this along... typically I shy away from quotes with a high cheese factor, but the message is undeniably important, and for me, it was nothing less than inspiring. So I wanted to share:

"I will not die an unlived life.
I will not live in fear of falling or catching fire.
I choose to inhabit my days, to allow my living to open me, to make me less afraid, more accessible, to      loosen my heart until it becomes a wing, a torch a promise.
I choose to risk my significance;
to live so that which came to me as a seed goes to the next as blossom and that which came to me as blossom goes on as fruit."

  1. Signe! I am so happy I found your blog. I work at a Barnes and Noble in Cedar Rapids, Ia. I picked up your book by chance (or maybe not!) in our receiving room last Friday and I absolutely adore it. You are so brave for taking on such an adventure, and you've reawakened my interest in faeries. I cannot wait to finish your book, and share it with others. Best of luck. I do believe we need more magic in this world. I can't wait til spring to grow my garden again, and add some faery homes to it.

  2. Oh, how wonderful! What a great note to find on publication day. Thank you so much. You can believe I put some nice things outside last night in appreciation for today! I hope you'll share some pics when you find your faery homes come spring time...
